THURNSCOE

Big Local Thurnscoe would like to announce that a new photography competition opens today. We are looking for exciting digital images that capture the essence of what makes Thurnscoe a great place to live and work.

 

If you live or work in the Thurnscoe area you are eligible to enter our free competition and your picture could feature on Big Local Thurnscoe publicity materials and on our website. We have a range of fantastic prizes and all shortlisted entries will be displayed in the library from 23rd November, and an awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 26th November from 4.30pm. The competition will be judged in the following categories; children up to 8 years, 9-16 years and 16 years and over.

 

Prizes will be awarded by an independent judging panel made up of local residents and experts in the field.The images can be of any format and feature people or places in the Thurnscoe area provided permission has been obtained if required. We are hoping to create a striking image archive for future use in the community and to promote Thurnscoe as an exciting place to be.
